How bad is it? I've just checked mine and given them a good cavity waxing. It seemed to be condensation making then wet inside, as once I dried them and left the film off they remained dry despite some heavy rain!

Where the bolts come though is fine, but the vertical section looked like I shouldn't prod it. I put the cover back quickly. I'll get brave and check the other side at some point.

It may be worth taking the back wheels off and checking the rail that runs above the sub frame each side.

Thanks. Not the most exciting of conclusions! I might actually try and script one of these videos at some point.

Anyway, filled up the BX for the third time today. Last tank averaged 43mpg, which caused some concern, but this one came out at 50mpg. I suspect the reality is somewhere between the two.

Yes excellent video with some very professional camera work, well done mate. How did you manage to get the 'sunroof wiring rattle' in an estate? ;-)

I think the rattle is emanating from the passenger doorcard. I am currently experimenting with wedging bits of card into different places.

Thanks for the feedback though. There's now professional about my kit!

I've been without the BX for a week, while I enjoyed a Jaguar XJ6 pool car from a publisher I work for. That left the editor of Classic Car Mart driving the BX yesterday, where we met at an event. He really liked it!

I was glad to be back in it to be honest. It still felt great to drive, though I really need to do something about the heavy clutch and shot engine mounts. It'll be nicer still then.

The sort of snippets that would make a proper petrol heads TV program. But no, we either have to be shouted at or treated as total knobs. Just finished as adviser on a series of TV filmshoots. Better than most but still all rather imaginary, though at least me fees weren't. We live in a strange world and perhaps reality is to be found in Wales looking at the rear of Highland cattle complete with handlebars! Ow, I wish I was not so busy. Stuff Burleigh, lets get into the mountains. (Don't mean it).

So, I had to sell the BX last month due to hideous skintness of the worst kind. Another Autoshite member (that's four owners from there on the trot) stepped up to the mark. Today was the first time I've seen it since the sale. It finally has the right wheeltrims!

Does look better I must admit. I'm now rattling around in a Maestro van or the 2CV. Both rattle quite a lot, but only one is truly comfortable...

No idea when my next BX fix will take place, but I really fancy an auto once funds allow. Hopefully that won't be too long to wait...
