There's an added mystery prize for 'Shed of the Show', so probably best to leave the polish on the shelf if you fancy your chances for that. Although if shed of the show is on your shopping list, you probably don't actually own any polish. Bon chance! :)
If you win that prize are you expected to give it back polished? Might be a disincentive.

I thought you might have your eye on a prize Mike - I just wasn't quite sure which one!
TBH, the only car I have that's in with any chance of winninganther proze is the 4X4, but only with a lot of detail work.
I'm afraid there isn't Mickey, but everyone - regardless of marque - will be in the frame for 'Shed of the Show' - so fingers crossed . . . you never know.
There was a Xantia sinker at the National last year that would have given Timex a run for it's money if they had such a prize there.

I've heard that a liberal application of live yoghurt will promote the growth of algae. I'm not condoning underhand tactics, but I'd start smothering Timex with a generous dollop of Danone's finest if I were you Mike. :-)

That's a bugger, at least you have time to get it done (I hope)

Mark - That's a trick used by the rat look crowd - one of the few I approve of (who in their right mind thinks taking a grinder to a perfectly good car will age it?)

I once attended a study weekend run by some Veteran Cycle friends of mine, which included a talk by one guy about restoration techniques he uses. While some try to make their bike look new, he's like me, opting instead for a route closer to conservation. One tip he gave was that if you needed to replace something and couldn't find suitably corroded bolts etc. the best way of ageing them if you had the time was to lay them out in the back garden over winter, pissing on them every few days!

If I'm up to it, meeeee. Let's hope for weather like this weekend! Depending on how feeble I am, will be doing anything from getting under people's feet to minor servicing (if someone is willing to check I've put everything back the right way up). Would be grateful if someone could have a bucket of compressed air handy please?

It's cold and blustery oop north in Lancaster today, so I'm presuming that Newark on Sea is positively balmy today?!

To Barry. I'd like to give the XM an oil/filter change, auto 'box fluid change and bleed the brake caliper nipples through with the hydraflush.

I'll be bringing a selection of Sainsbury's finest biccys. Mark. :-)

I'd like a few minutes ramp time with Timex to check the height corrector linkages - something not quite right going on there, but not sure what. Other than that it'll be looking at other people's motors, exchanging info, and doing odd jobs on Timex (but not washing it!)
