Hi everybody ( each one of you I'm missing )
Finally the bear is getting out of his cavern : a little bit like this post : no message from november to february…
After traditional stretching , I got a glance here & I think the white 16TRS BX I get last summer just for these challenges is now ready to go through the channel : maybe directly to Cork rather than shipping twice :)
Of course it's just for the only thing witch I know to be one of your favorite sport : getting more stickers  =D>
Cheers - Chris

Chris, good to see you back :D - hope all's well. I've moved northwards now (working in Nottingham), so if you're flying into E Midlands any time soon and will have time for a BXC mini-meet then I'm sure one can be arranged.

Unfortunately I'm not able to commit to Ireland right now owing to house move (probably May) and Other Things - "what's what" should be a bit clearer by the end of April. Then it'll depend if I can get the annual leave from work ...

Hi Chris. As well as Cork, there's also a ferry runs out of Rosselare to France (I forget to which port though). This is the one that is favoured by such organisations as the Irish Motorcaravanner's Club due to it's value for money - may be worth a look at. The roads from both Cork and Rosselare up to Dublin are good, as are the ones to Roscrea if you decide to meet up with us there.

I don't suppose you're planning on a trip to Citromobile next month are you?

Hi Mike . Rosslare is a very good idea because at Cork the return ticket is not avaible in time : I'm obliged to stay there one more week :?
At Rosslare I arrive on the 24th 11.30 and the return is on 30th at 3.30 PM witch is more comfortable
Are you sure the Challenge will exist :?:
Just for the price of the tickets witch is much lower if non recoverable

Regarding Citromobile I didn't already think about it : I'm going to talk with my friend/family and come back to you for some news 8)

The Challenge will exist, but on a much smaller scale than past years, mainly because of the cost of the ferries. There's a couple of members from Ireland who may join u for some of the trip, but to be honest I'm only expecting a maximum of 4 or 5 cars at present. It's part of the reason I've included the All Ireland Rally, as they get a good turnout of cars both from Ireland and the UK, and it's got a good reputation as a great weekend out.

Final costs on Ferries (if people haven't booked yet!) - I'm using Irish Ferries, HolyHead to Dublin on the 24th, 8am sailing (arrives in Dublin 11:30, Then Rosselare to Pembroke on the 1st - There's an 8am sailing but old skinflint here booked the 20:45 crossing as it was slightly cheaper! Total cost around £200, which is less than expected.

Now I have an idea of numbers for camping (I assume Hilary and Irene will stay in hotels etc. as they have in the past) I'll double check campsite availability.

Hilary, If you could email me the artwork I'll try to get a quote for prices when I'm off work next week (and not welding a Visa!) I assume every one wants a large one for the bonnet, 2 medium sized ones for the sides and a small one for the tailgate?

1st night's camping definately confirmed - and best of all it's free!

Rather than the camp site I had originally lined up, the small number of participants have allowed me to get us a night's free accomodation at my Parent's place at Shinrone, a few miles north west of Roscrea. For those who aren't a fan of camping, there's a spare bedroom in the cottage, a campervan, plus a decent sofa bed in a cabin in the garden, while for the rest of us there's plenty of stretches of grass between the various ponds, flowers and vegetable beds for putting tents up, while he cars can be lined up in front of the garage behind the house.

I'll PM directions to Chris and Hilary, and if anyone else wans to join us there PM me and I'll send off directions to you too.
