All I've done so far is check the brake pads!

I might give Timex a quick wash when I pack tomorrow.

I've had to pull out – I had a phone call from the landlord of one my stores I rent for bikes in Bristol middle of last week – he has sold his house and could be completing by the end of this month! So am busy trying to sort out new storage and moving about sixty bikes together with piles of wheels and boxes of parts. My son emptied the loft out in my Bristol house last summer in order we could get the roof done and most of this was piled in there on top of the bikes too…

There's wifi as the campsite and hostel where we are, so I've stuck a few pics up on Facebook.

I drove up to Holyhead yesterday morning to catch the 8am ferry to Dublin. The A5 through North Wales as 5am was fantastic - no other traffic to worry about and lovely twisty bits - Timex managed to average over 50mph over those roads. It has also convinced me that we need to do a Challenge Cymru at some point (hint, hint!)

Reached the parents place early afternoon, and was joined by the French posse that evening. After sorting a temporary repair to the fuel lines on Xemes' lovely 16TRS Auto, we had tea outside, with veg from the garden, before retiring inside for a nightcap of Mum's flavoured whisky before bed.

Today saw us drive via a roundabout route to Limerick, then out along the southern bank of the Shannon, then along the Atlantic coast before cutting inland to Tralee. We then continued along the coast before taking Irelands highest pass to Dingle, where we've stopped for the night. We managed to get a look round the town (and buy more stickers for Timex) before returning here for tea, after which it's now started raining!

Tomorrow we'll be visiting the most westerly part of Europe, and the oldest church, before continuing along the coast, finishing up on the Ring of Baera (hope I've spelt it right!)

What a warm reception we had :D
Even in my best dream I could´t expect that much
A very great Thanks to Mike'parents : helping for sorting the BX , a fantastic meal with local products from the garden some tens meters far , and then a wonderfull night in a very comfortable bed as I only expect a peace of green grass to plant the tent when I leave the ferry
A very very good begenning
An today after having visited quite all the peaces of green in the west Ireland , the BXs climb easily the Connor's Pass to be able to see both west & east side at the same glance…!
To be followed ……

Wet start to the day, but didn't hinder us much. We spent most of the morning at the Dingle peninsular, where we travelled as far west as is possible in Europe by car. We also visited a (heavily restored) prehistoric beehive house, and a 1500 year old Oratory (one of the oldest known churches. We then travelled to Killorglin where we found a cafe for lunch as it was still raining. By the time lunch was finished the rain had stopped so we set off round the Ring of Kerry, unfortunately with a minimum of stops due to to time, but still seeing some fantastic scenery - the best of the trip so far I reckon! After that we travelled into the Ring of Beara (now spelt right - apologies Kieran!) Where we cut across a mountain pass to our stop for the night at the Hungry Hill camp site. The trip up the pass was fun, but the road down the otherside had to be seen to be believed. Anyone remember Top Gear searching for Europe's best roads and finding one that kept twisting, turning and switching back on itself down a mountain - it looked just like that!

Anyway, there's more photo's on the book of faces, and I'll all those and more on here when I get home and dump the camera pics on the computer.
