It definitely isn't the hand brake sticking, as the car would roll back. Some days I park it against a brick & don't bother putting it on anyway (as I did on the 17th). lazy I know, but it stops it sticking if I don't use it for a few days, Although this car never has (unlike the Peugeot I used to have).
The fault is definitely engine related. Just a question of what.
I forgot to mention; I had the car plugged in to a diagnostic machine about 3 weeks ago & all it said was "poor signal from oil temp sensor - stored". Otherwise it didn't say anything. I will try to get it checked again at some point. Although this also had the mechanic confused as he said he couldn't see any reason this would cause trouble.
Would the oil temp sensor cause any trouble? I don't remember this engine actually having one though, If it does where will it be?
