Already saw some photos, liked the design. But i thought it only was good in BX's without rear spoiler or using that small, black plastic type.
Until i saw that:
And i got crazy. Almost thought about importing one of that to Brazil, but i think it will become real expensive.
In a French site i saw one for 130 E, which is little expensive converting to our currencies ( R$ ) and worst of all: Shipping + "Brazil style" taxes
Someone have that part installed? Is worth trying to do with fiberglass? And specially: Exist a way to fit it without removing the 16 Soup spoiler like this photo? I simply NEED this part on my ride...I'd love to have the correct measures and make a fiberglass (or even a carbon fiber) replica of that louver.

Hot steamy night alone, I wait for you ? Cold brittle morning alone and I cry for you ? And when you finally call ? You cloak your moves in the shadows ???

I've got one of these, brand new with fittings, I bought it off a forum member, Todd, who brought it with him from Germany a year or two back I can take some pictures and scan in the fitting instructions, they are in German mind...

I don't get the appeal, they look bloody awful to me
Accessories for the sake of having accessories for me. Put them in the same bucket as tailblazers and wind deflectors, though they at least do normally serve a purpose!
Sorry, I'm oot!

I'm with Kitch, these things are rather Don Johnson, or even Hof like!
I prefer the original clean Gandini lines and Mk 2 variants. Now were is that XR4i spoiler.....

Re: About rear window louvers (or louvres)
Even though you dont like them Kitch apparently they were very popular and still are in Australia and over the ditch here in New Zealand.
I wouldnt mind one myself the sun here is quite viscous on the upholstery and yes they are effective in keeping the car cooler. We have one on our Mitsi Galant since it dont have a sunroof or aircon I was surprised the differance it made as a practical heat stopper. Also very good for keeping the rear window clear of rain and snow.
If we had not fixed the mitsis gearbx I was looking at ways to fit it to a BX.

Re: About rear window louvers (or louvres)
The ones that would look good in the estate are those little louvre blinds that run up inside the window - I've seen them on Amis, DS's and GS's but never for the BX unfortunately.

Re: About rear window louvers (or louvres)
Sun is serious business here in Brazil, so it have a little more function than looks. More like a good excuse to use it, of course.
But i don't know why, i really love this. In a black BX it gets an evil machine look
TizzyD: Why did you done that to me? I'm drooling and going nuts right now! They're so BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for the nice pics, i'm in love with them!
It will help me to make a plan for doing a fiberglass replica. Oh, if only i could import one of these...
Tinkley: Don Johnson? I'm opening Media Player to listen Glen Frey - You Belong To The City right now
If this gives that visual, is one more point for trying to do one of these myself. Love that "futurist car of the 80's look".
I like the look of that louvers because it matches with the high angle of the rear window. Is a large area open for the sun and my ride have leather seats, already in bad condition (that i will someday overhaul it).
