Rear quarter Windows

Hi everybody,

Another question that I need answering.

The rear quarter windows on my GT have dulled with the sun.
Can these panels be polished the same way as I have done on plastic headlamps that have dulled?

Probably can, have you tried toothpaste?

if no one has ever tried cleaning them up before they will have a lacquer coating over them,

i would use the likes of 1200 wet N dry ( wet ) and soap to rub them down/remove the coating,

then burnish them with fine compound then T cut or the likes,

if the stripes are still there under the lacquer you will loose these in the process

Thanks for that.

They have never been treated before and the stripes are still there.

When I burnish them with t-cut will I have to put protective wax on to prevent this happening again.

you could always skip the burnishing with compound and T cut,
then just re/ lacquer them,

i believe modern lacquers dont yellow like the older type did
