New bonnet sourced for the old girl as the one fitted is cracked and badly scratched, as are a set of correct silver steelies with good tyres and correct wheeltrims.

Any advise how to get the dirty great hole in the nst arch repaired? its far too big to fibreglass and I wouldnt want to do that anyway.

Matt?????

Some metal, some tin-snips and a welder. I would advise against anything else - we've all seen what happens a few years down the line

Maybe so. However, you can cross the palm of people who can weld with silver, and they'll weld it up for you. Then you just need filler and a bodyshop (or a warm dust-free garage stocked with rattle cans and lots of patience!)

As I remember it there was a bit on the front arches and one of the A-pillars needed doing too, so might make sense to knock them all on the head at the same time. It'd certainly work out more cost effective.

Matt is quite handy with the welder, so I am sure he can work his magic on the crusty bits then I can get the paintwork done at work,

Surely it's cheaper to use steel?

The Estate is now matt and charlotte's. Things have changed alot in the last year, some bad but mostly good, now in a full time relationship and living together (with someone thats thinks cars are red or blue) being in a new position at work and having 7 cars I just dont have the time to do what I want with them so I have handed it over to matt to finish off the work he has started. I have told Phil I doubt I will be able to the Challenge but I will know for sure by the end of the year.

Over to you Matt!
