I'm hoping to pop across to Newark for the E Mids bash. I'll bring the mudflaps along. :)

GT failed the MOT today, on a brake flexi (which had been replaced before I got it with one thats too long and was rubbing on the body) and a split steering rack book, which cost about £15 for the pair, I had the front brakes stripped, cleaned and calipers lubricated as the handbrake mechanicisms were starting to seize.

Not bad for a 29 year old car that hasnt turned a wheel in 17 months.

Photoshoot for practical classics is arrange for week after next.

All sorted now i hope? Steering rack gaiter can be a pain to fit, depending on what side.

Good luck with the piccies.

Nearside, im not doing it, one of technicians prefers working on older cars so he is on the job.

Just found a small split in the n/s CV boot so that will be done at the same time.

Well that was a faff, one CV boot, flexi pipe, caliper strip and rebuild, exhaust reseal and the awkward steering rack gaiter plus a spilt ram feedpipe and a small service and she is now good to go.

and I am £264 lighter...., now a very good valet is needed for the photoshoot!
