So your driving without Power steering? Surely wont that knacker the rack up? Saves going the gym though!

Rack was probably f***ed over a year ago when the PAS died!

Keep an eye on the steering coupling/hardydisk too. They deteriorate quicker without PAS, and a new one only costs J10

I agree! I used to straighten my wheels sometimes after turning the engine off and this caused the coupling to split.
Coupling from Citroen cost £20.14 inc VAT which was rubber and metal bits already rivetted as an assembly.
£10 only buys the rubber bit from GSF and I took that back!
