Looking good Tom. Quick tip. Buy some pipe lagging material. It's great for protecting door edges in tight garages.

Ah, cheers Mark. I am thinking of moving her when she's MOT'd etc to a closer storage place, the garage she's in isn't watertight and it's about 10-15 mins drive from home. So hopefully the next place will be bigger, or more like a warehouse/barn kind of thing.

How're you're lovely Citroens doing?

The Valver is slumbering in the garage over Winter - I'll probably tax it beginning of March- and the XM is currently at Leo's garage nr Blackpool having some jobs done. Hoping and praying for some decent weather this summer, going stir crazy at the moment.

There's a potential risk that this and my Dad's GT might return this year. Romantic blue BX GTs are like buses!

Weather is gak down here, very wet and windy recently. We do get the odd sunny spell, but measured in hours/minutes rather than days/weeks! I think you're 16v has got the right idea Mark.

I know, none for ages, then two at once. Every time I look at your blog Kitch, I cringe thinking that my GT will need all this doing! But I think as it's done a third of the miles, and looks like it's been quite well looked after (before me at least!) then it's got some time before such in depth work is needed.

GT being picked up this weekend for the work.

GT pushed back to being collected this week sometime, will ring and find out when on Monday.

In the meantime I have bought a coolant temp gauge, it came with the sneder, stat housing adaptors and a mounting kit. Took me ages trawling through all the white faced blue LED lit chavvy style ones to find something in keeping with 80's Citroens. I think it's quite daft for Citroen to not include a coolant gauge on their BX's, something so cheap can prevent some very expensive issues!

I'll be along shortly in the technical dpt asking about suitable locations to tap into for fused live (when the ignition is on), power for the lamp and an earth. I'll also have to think about where to put the gauge. My first thoughts are to the left of the steering wheel, directly below the instrument cluster shroud.

Your workbench appears to double as a reasonably well-stocked bar.

Lol, that's no workbench! That's our antique oak sideboard. It's 8 foot long and there are spirit bottles along it's entire length and that's not including the wine cabinet on the other side of the room. The value gin is left over from a few years back when we made some sloe gin, it's still there and unopened... The sloe gin was bloody good, we used honey from our bees (instead of sugar) and sloes from the father in laws garden hedges amongst other things - it was hang over proof and not too sweet/syrupy like some are.

Do you have a picture Tim? That's where I intended to put mine. Appropriateley named for you!

GT delivered to the garage this afternoon. Bloke was really impressed with it - so should be MOT'd in the next week or two. Got everything crossed!

Was quite a nice sight following her back to the mans garage, wallowing soflty around all the corners :)
