Pump Running
New regulator and accu sphere fitted today and no more leaks but disappointed that the pump still cuts in at idle as before but cuts out when revs lift slightly.
Any ideas?

Re: Pump Running
I've noticed mine does this too Tim, I had mine down to lack of use and dirty LHM filters though (still haven't cleaned them out yet!). Be interesting to see what, if anything, causes this.
I wonder if it's anything to do with what spheres you have fitted? ie comfort spheres having higher pressures than some others.

Ken
If you turn the car off and raise the suspension it has enough in reserve to put the rear all the way up! Also it lifts up of its haunches when cold quickly.
The lhm and filters are all new, the spheres are from 2004 but the ride is brilliant so I'm loathed to change them.

My xm did the same, slight touch of the steering wheel would stop it, so I assumed the ram was the problem, does yours?
They think it's all over, it is now!

Re: Pump Running
BAH does this too. It's been suggested to me that it's a leaky strut, but I haven't even looked at it and it's been doing it for 3-4 years. Apparently it can kill the pump though, so I really should!

Re: Pump Running
Struts seems ok, there's no leak from outside the strut body?

Re: Pump Running
It'd be an internal leak. You need to check the return hoses to the reservoir.Tim Leech wrote:Struts seems ok, there's no leak from outside the strut body?

Re: Pump Running
Yup, the returns on good spheres will have virtually zero leak back where knackered struts seals will allow a flow of LHM back to the tank and really knackered struts blow the return pipes off at joints as they can't handle the excess flow.Kitch wrote:It'd be an internal leak.
