BX GT is leaking

its dripping out from the bottom of the regulator slowly, but is getting worse, its always "ran on" anyway and only cuts out when the revs are raised slightly so I will get a recon one from pleides.

Might be worth trying to nip up the unions to the pipes first. Hope the honeymoon went well. Back to the grindstone. :(

Bugger!!

I carry a spare but had no tools, amazingly she got me 5 miles on reserve pressure although I lost steering and used the handbrake, the low
Pressure light came on just as parked up.

Shame it's not a diesel as they are dead easy, I'll
Aim to replace the aux belt at the same time.

Look at the cracks in that thing. Do you maintain your cars Tim, or just polish them?

I confess not to checking the state of the belts Kitch, although I am quite anal about cam belts, anyway I've ordered another one and a alternator belt and will be changing them both this week and the spare will go back in the boot.

All sorted, very fiddly when it's on the floor and my 13mm short socket decided to snap.

Normal service is resumed, the aux belt was old but un cracked, so I will stick it in the boot along with the spare HP belt I didn't use.

She is all polished up ready for the CCC West Mids gathering at the Coventry Museum tomorrow, last time I went there in the GT I has to be carried home due to illness, lets hope this time is less eventful.

The marina is now all stripped and ready for paintwork...

Front one? I've always got one out. Just give the headlamps ( or taillight) a thump with 'yer fist.

This one is a legend in Finland. If your light doesn't light in MOT, give it a thump and it lights up (probably). Next, the inspector comes and gives it another thump. Light probably goes out, and inspector says "you usually can turn the lights out just the same way they are turned on".
