Well all back to normal, the GT asides leaking like a sieve from the sunroof behaved brilliantly!
The Athena is done, well it was, went to collect her yesterday, and he was still tinkering but it is road legal and is mechanically sorted...... and then it it sprang a leak before it even left Barry's garage! So we left it behind and brought home a xantia (loaner) which was rather tired.
Am hoping it will be done next week for the National
Can only make the Sunday buy will enjoy the day as a "normal member".

Back again
Its been a busy time, I am now down to just two BX's, neither of which are for sale.
The green TZD went to Richard Briscoe as did the recently acquired 19TZD and the Athena is sold.
I still love the BX but exploring new avenues with VW and British Leyland.
I saw a 1990ish VW Scirocco yesterday in Oxford. Felt nostalgic as this was what I had before my first BX which by the way impressed me at the time as being a much better car; quicker, quieter, more space usw.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.
Not much change here, GT is coming out of storage next week and having its MOT in plenty of time ready for the Challenge, the TZI is now away until next year having done a fair few shows this year.....as for the Xantia, it still waits.
As you may know I bought a rusty Beetle last July which has been away at Richard Briscoes having a stack of welding done (a lot more than we had expected or budgeted for) so that will be this years car to concentrate on, a very different scene but a busy one and you can buy anything you want for them, plus the BX is still a modern car to drive and covers miles easily, where the Bug is more of an experience.
Another MOT pass, no advisories and a run out to a local car show with my mate in his beautiful freshly restored CX! also present was a very early 2CV.

GT back in storage now until next year, as I cant make the challenge it may aswell stay dry and safe
After 14 happy years at one employer I am being made redundant, which is a real kick in the teeth, the showroom from where I work is closing and the building sold, I wrongly assumed I would be moved to the main site, seems its full of bright young things and im neither young nor female so even though I am more than qualified for the job I wasn't considered.
Onwards and upwards, I have sold the black 75 as I didn't use it, and it was such a pain to keep clean, and I have replaced it with a 1958 Rover 90!
