Hi Tom

Actually no! The mot runs out next week, but will get a 6 month extension. Come July I’ll tax it and give I a run....if I still have a job!

Well it’s all a bit crap! Amazing how much changed within 12 months...back at work after furlough...it’s no better...just not my thing. I’m used to working in a small close friendly dealership....instead of a high pressure large group where there absolutely no team spirit. Shame.

So the search for a new career continues..,with less hours, less money of course but I need to redress my work life balance!

Bx wise not much to report...I’ve located some BX stripes for the door bottoms of the DTR to Put it back to original. Pictures to follow

Well the fleet cull continues, the Gold marina has been sold to a a new home, I am considering parting with something else, maybe the TZI, im not sure.

Still trying to find a job without weekends but its not a good time at the moment....I just dont enjoy what I do now. And I find it is "getting on top of me" so something needs to change.

Ill continue to do the lottery for now!

A bx club minimeet on Sunday, took the DTR for a ride to Newark to catch up with Paul Handley and Caffiend aka Sandre from this parish.

Paul sold his Hurricane in 2018 to Mr Chidlow and Sandra still owns hers but its been off the road for a long while and needs a new engine.

We often meet up for a catch up but its been long overdue thanks to lockdown.

They are both well I'm pleased to report and the DTR chugged along nicely...it is rather slow!

Lovely to see those two again. I wondered what had happened to S's Hurricane. Glad its still alive.
So that's Newark, I was trying to place on FB it but the only other bandstand I know around there is Belper which that is not obviously.
Sensibly no age giveaways this time Tim..............

It's great to see Paul and Sandra looking well! Looks like a lovely spot for a picnic, very civilised and sunny too.

DTR passed her mot with only a couple of small advisories, all easily sorted.

Not bad for a car that's 35 years old and approaching 200000 miles.

She will now be tucked away until Spring, plan is to sort a couple of small paintwork issues as well as the MOT items.

New job starting in January too, much closer to home and much smaller place so I hope it fits me better.

Well new job is ok...that’s all I’ll say. Pay is a retro grade step but will suffice for now.

Still closed to customers so it’s all virtual which I loathe.

The beloved tested positive for Covid so we both had 10 days isolating which was rather dull, none of us had symptoms strangely and I tested negative 🤷???

To save tax and to have a more practical motor I’ve ditched the company car. A new mini is cute and fun but cramped and surprisingly not that frugal.

I nearly bought a xantia diesel...but need something that’s fixable anywhere really.

But this came up, has history, a towbar and is the renowned bmw Diesel engine so will be my daily.

MG!! Good choice its years since I had one. Hope the running costs are a bit less than the tax savings.
I always ran my own car instead of having a company car. From 1992 til 2001 I ran a series of BXs so that was a definite plus as the company alternatives were Pug 405, Laguna or Vauxhall Vectra.
