Spent half an hour looking for the correct part number for the bottom hose. Lots of conflicting information. Will continue the search next week.

Installed my new standalone apple play display. It works perfectly. Now need better speakers. 30yr old factory ones are well past it.
What’s this standalone display? I have Apple Car Play in a work car and am quite impressed by it.

For the hoses, I remember Sasic’s online catalogue being good for old French stuff.

Pop up (or PM) your VIN for the Meteor, and I'll dig up the Citroen part numbers for the hoses.

Here is the display

It’s fair to say the wireless car play experience is very good. Though occasionally I have to ask me phone to connect when starting the car.
It’s soo good I am going to upgrade my speakers

That's a very nice example, lhd and Berlingo? Wheels
My introduction to bx's was a 14re with a very rattly 150c engine 4sp box and biodegradable seats. My Mrs used to hate it because the brakes were too sharp and the steering too heavy and she just couldn't grasp the dash layout.

Thank you very much. Very nice looking car indeed. Not so great driving it as you mentioned. My biggest worry is whining gearbox on first and second gear. It is 2BT84. 5speed.
Despite the issues it is a
Great piece of history. Love the looks of it.

Hi, and welcome. That's a very tidy looking early car.
Delage Red - Is it a re-spray?

On the gearbox whine, I had that on ours (although a much later BE5 'box).
It was improved considerably by adding a tube of Forte Gear & Diff Treatment (125ml). No great fan of oil additives, but this one worked. The whine has now virtually disappeared.
Correct oil (for the BE3/5 'box) is 75W-80 gear oil, GL-4 (and not GL-5 or 4/5), for best operation of the synchromesh.

Whereabouts are you based, by the way?

Thank you for the advise Chris. I found it in UK. Was imported from France. The whole hystory is here https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1321364
Whether it has been in a barn in France for 20 years as stated - I do not know, but after polishing it the result on the bodywork is amazing. Few scratches and also a nasty dent on the other side front door, this is the only bodywork that I wish to repair everything else I can live with. However this color I know is very difficult to match. Unless you guys can recommend something. I live in Surrey.

This is beautiful. The Mk. 1 BX is just so lovely.

The suitcase engine and gearbox share their oil as I’m sure you know. I remember mine being a bit whiney in low gears but thought that was just the “cut” of the gears and not much to worry about.

I was quite happy with the suitcase engine. It adds a bit of charm.
