Can you NAME THAT PART ?

Post by Jaba »

Can anyone identify this 8mm bolt from a TD engine bay.

Image

Hint - It is left over from a recent cylinder head gasket change on a turbo. It seems to be used as a bolt only as the outer threaded part has not been used. The washer is the wavey type.

Well spotted Batman, I reckon you're well acquainted that bolt and it's siblings

Jon I notice your posts are now sporting the words

Well done, have you given us details somewhere?

Brilliant - thanks Jon. I had put a standard bolt back in that position hence my dilemna with a strange looking bolt left over.
