My BX16 automatic gearbox managed to ingest a stray bolt (posssibly ex coil) and now has a holed casing.
As far as I can tell it is the standard ZF 4HP14_transmission

Thats bad luck. A replacement might be difficult to locate. Could the case be repaired perhaps by an auto gearbox specialist or you could do a manual conversion.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

I've managed to locate (and purchase) a replacement box. Fitting should be done within a couple of weeks...then happy days again.
I had no luck with autobox specialists anywhere within 150 miles or so - most said they didn't work on such old boxes anymore or couldn't source spares.
