Hi all.
In changing the long hydraulic pipes I've dropped petrol tank and to do this the long rod for suspension control and the assembly which the rod hooks into for the height corrector operation.
The only way I can see how to reassemble the linkage now the tank is back in is for the arm which rotates maybe 10 degrees to pivot on its threads, which doesn't seem right.
Basically I've forgotten how it went.
Can anyone advise.
I watched a clip on adjusting ride height but it's on a Mk1 (mines 89) and the bracket looks a bit different.
There are only a few compartments making up the assembly.
Long bolt which goes through the bracket on car body, nut and arm with threaded centre.
I've locked the bolt to the bracket with the nut after threading the arm onto the bolt.
It seems to work but like I said uses the thread in the centre to rotate.
I think I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks
