Still available new - are the same as Ford Granada diesels, Scorpios and Sierras.

I have resorted to sealing the pump part of the aluminium bodied filters with silicone before now, the addition of a rubber priming bulb from later cit/pugs would be the icing on the cake (I used to change the filter on that car at the top of a very long steep hill :)

Quick update on this one:

Fitted the new primer unit. Not had any problems since.

Would be nice to get a pukka Rotodiesel one as the fit of the aftermarket replacement isnt quite as good.

Problem solved anyway.... Tar... :D

had a chat with the guy at the local auto parts and he said that these primers have been a big problem over the years and he sugested fitting the bosch filter instead as it works very well or for that matter any after market in line filter will work just as well ,so i am going to fit a bosch filter to the auto sometime this week when the new kitchen is finished unless anyone can advise different?

well ian if you still want it i have this diesel filter/ primer unit you can have for nowt you can also have the thermo housing if you want it. :D :D

That looks different to mine but i guess it'd do the same job.

I'll contact my man in the Citroen world and get a brand new original one at some point, thanks for the thought Aaron!
