Thanks Stewart, we actually have a shiny new matrix in stock that I've been meaning to fit for a while. Bit of an extreme way to do it but now seems the ideal time to go right through the car and make it a minter again!

What depresses me most is that these boils on the ar$e of humanity undoubtedly think it was really funny. Not only do these little sh*t$ need removing from our planet bnut their parents do aswell.

Time to start meting out some justice I think, after all our very own home secretary keeps telling us we all have to do our bit and stand up for our rights... thats good enough for me!

Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I think you speak for the silent (but increasingly less so and steadily more pi***d off) majority...

We've put alot of time and money into this car already so no way was I gona give up. It's a one off so cant be replaced without ALOT more money being spent on yet another car, dad likes the car and he's done ALOT for me over the years so since I'm brill (modesty forbids of course!) then it will live again!

I think if the government actually listened to the silent majority instead of drowning us out with PC bo%%ocks this country would be sooooo much better. Alas I fear it'll get alot worse before the majority snap and say enough!

Very impressed with the dedication involved on saving this one, it should hopefully prove to be even nicer to own knowing all the hassle/expense & wanting to commit revenge on said scallys.

Great thing about BX's is that if you run over the little pxxcks you wont even notice it, as the lovely hydralics do their thing (this should stand you in good stead if in court "didnt see em judge & certainly didnt notice any strange bumping over anything").

If there are any bits you need, please post a list as i am sure that everyone on the forum would only be too happy to give (gratis/beer money) any parts u r having problems sourcing.

Well done (must be a citroen lifer).

Wasn't able to cut and weld today due to a distinct lack of national grid in the building!

Got a fair amount done though.
First and most important was food!

Image
The citroen way to heat your pies!

Fitted a new speedo cable complete and stripped the old heater matrix out.
Rather disappointingly, the new one has no sealing strip so I'll get some tomorrow and fit it up!

Image

Sprayed the bottom part of the tail gate black as intended on GTi's etc:

My mate Smiffy of CX Turbo fame then adopted role of King of glass cleaning to remove several tons of ash and sh*t from all the glass:

Then all the remaining crud and burnt plastic was removed from the back end, some chisselling required on stubborn bits.
After a good wire brushing the inner wing and boot floor were given a heavy dose of Zinc rich primer ready for top coating:

Wont win any awards for quality but since it'll all be hidden keeping rust at bay was the bigger priority.
Tomorrow I'll finish the heater matrix, install all the extra wiring for the 16v dash, maybe put the black dash in, and repair the roof lining from the spares car before fitting it up.

Most of the wiring is now in at the back end but will need finishing tomorrow.
All in all, not a bad day and the old girl is starting to take some shape now.

More pics tomorrow!! You lucky people!!! :D

Cheers
