Bx more comfortable than a Xantia? Yes for seating position, no for ride imho. Overall I personally think the Xantia is a better car, BUT its not different like the BX is, hence I dont have a Xantia here anymore.
C5 ugly? Maybe a tad unfair on my part, as the estate looks nice.
I'd be the other way around. I can find a good driving position in a BX no problem. Its an odd layout, but I think it works.
Xantia on the other hand....its like one person decided where to put the dash board, then someone totally different who they'd never met did the steering wheel position, then another did the pedals and the 4th unlucky prat designed the seats (Activa/V6's excluded....the seats in these rock!) However its in another league of refinement to a BX. If you get a well sorted BX the ride is better overall, but most BX's aren't all that well sorted no matter what their owners think and the Xantia will supply a better ride IMO.
C5....ugly as sin. But no one can deny they're awesome value now and its still a Citroen....still uses funny suspension. And I'd say the C5 rides as well as a Xantia easily, if not better. The interior is also much better laid out aswell. Just a shame the Xantia is better looking.....well maybe not the facelift!
