Yeah, seems strange doesn't it. Both mine were rotten. The GTi put the planet gears through the bellhousing aswell but it still drove home! didn't like going round corners though!Ian_Fearn wrote:I loved my Hurricane, it was just too rusty to keep. Cheers

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I thought that as the ones I`ve seen have been pretty late reg`d cars maybe they were special editions to get rid of the last BX`s before the Xantia came in?Ian_Fearn wrote:I loved my Hurricane, it was just too rusty to keep. Perhaps (as with the Cavalier Commander) they were left out in the open for a while before being sold?

My mate had a cavvy commander, it rotted faster than we could weld plates into it!

Ah yes, months on end of being stuck in open fields did for the body and electrics. Awful model that needs to be kept well clear of at all costs, unlike it`s sex-on-wheels cousin the SRi130docchevron1472 wrote:cavmad wrote: My mate had a cavvy commander, it rotted faster than we could weld plates into it!
