Citroen Special Tools

Does anyone know where to buy the citroen special tools or are they just a myth for the main agents?

They certainly existed, and some VERY occasionally come up on ebay and such like. It's often the case that a bit of lateral thinking, copying or just straightforward common sense can lead you to alternatives. For example, refitting the lever on a front caliper is a job where a special Citroen tool is advised to compress the spring washers underneath it, but the job can be improvised with basic tools and a vice.

was it specifically BX ones you where after? i have some berlingo ones i could do with off loading! Like DLM said they come up on ebay from time to time and thats where i got mine from

citroen ones are fine as they fit most of there ranges but how much are you looking for the belingo ones as cash is very strapped.

most i have managed without but the tool for removing the axial joints 8.0707-T would be usefull rether than having to use stilsons.

you meen the funny socket. see below it cost me £4.58 exc VAT. you also need a 35mm socket to use it.

either Facom or Sealey have it on there website and its about that much delivered! I was very kindly lent one by a Andyspares member last time i did it and it makes the job dead easy. The one i changed was very badly corroded but i did as i was advised and basically set fire to the ball joint untill it started to bubble, then gave it a few minutes and put the tool on with a breaker bar. It came straight off without breaking a sweat, very impressive!
