Image

 Do you prefer new spheres or just refurbished spheres?

 Why your bxs don't have the the upper case- http://www.bxclub.cz/graphics/dynamic/1715554_7.jpg we have it on the left side

 Do you have any problems with clutch kable? It must be tweaks because of you're sitting on the other side

 and it's almost imposible to get electric right mirror (letf is really often in BX), do you have it, or it's just manual?

 And in 16v: rider's seat - you can change position of the whatyoucallit on your hips, do you have it too?
And I was very surprised, that in France 16 soupapes hasn't back electrik windows, it's the same in your country?

Yes I've used Hydraurincage

No opinion on spheres - I put new ones on mine.

Don't know about graphics - probably a cost-saving measure from Citroen

I have electic left mirror and manual right. I suppose you could fit a left-hand mirror upside-down on the right side....

Don't know about 16v driver's seat

My TZD has electric rear windows, which don't work :)

I meant to say

I don't find the topic stupid at all, and I doubt whether anyone else will. I'm very impressed at Cz BX club's turnout and enthusiasm, and we could probably learn from you. I like your idea of a mutual breakdown help scheme, for instance. I think we could copy that.

In cz is the shortcut RVHP and it's parody for economy council from "old and red" ages   we let the whole name, just the letter "H" means hydraulics. In english it's not funny name
But it's realy helpful ;-)

We have big discussion about spheres, I prefer new, and many people prefer the re-fill, because it's cheaper (and they say it's good as new).
that's the same problem as using LHM or normal hydraulic oil? Sometimes people do strange things, when they want to spend some money

Sorry, can I just say here and now... climate control?! in a BX?! I never knew that was available! And a little exterior temp sensor in the clock - that's rather nifty too!

In answer to your questionnaire:

Never heard of Hydraurincage but I assume it's the same as Hydraflush, which I would use?

I'd buy new spheres personally, if I could find and afford them.

Re. the upper glovebox, I assume as Oscar says it was a cost-cutting measure

Don't know about the clutch cable.

I seem to remember my TZD having electric mirrors on both sides when I had it. But my ZX used to only have an electric mirror on the left-hand side, for some reason - the right-hand mirror was manual. Odd.

Yes, it is possible to change the grip on the side bolsters of the 16v driver's seat over here.

TZD's have electric rear windows so I assume that 16v's do too.

Sorry, I've probably not been much help. I'm still in awe of the digital climate control!

Hi and welcome Darja! Great to have you "on board"

 Do you use this Total HYDRAURINCAGE?
Yep, good stuff!

 Do you prefer new spheres or just refurbished spheres?
I nearly always fit new, unless the sphere is a genuine unit in which case they usually re-charge well. If it's an AMTEX sphere I just throw them in the bin

 Why your bxs don't have the the upper case- http://www.bxclub.cz/graphics/dynamic/1715554_7.jpg we have it on the left side
Economics or because we are british I suppose!!!???

 Do you have any problems with clutch kable? It must be tweaks because of you're sitting on the other side
Clutch cables can break but I dont think it afflicts BX's anymore than other cars. The pedal box design is rubbish but the box is no different ona LHD car so it's the same for us all!

 and it's almost imposible to get electric right mirror (letf is really often in BX), do you have it, or it's just manual?
Over here the drivers mirror was nearly always manual, except as an optional extra or standard in the case of the P2 16V. passenger mirrors were options on most BX's and standard on higher trim spec cars

 And in 16v: rider's seat - you can change position of the whatyoucallit on your hips, do you have it too?
You can adjust the lumber support and the "wings" that grip your ribs, the base will also tilt but I've never seen one that adjusts on your legs over here??

And I was very surprised, that in France 16 soupapes hasn't back electrik windows, it's the same in your country?
Blimey, for once the english got better spec than the french!? All 16v's had electric windows all round over here, and TZD's too!

Cheers

Stunning job with the climate control! I'm a little envious....

Thought the controller panel looked XMish. hhmm, I'm fitting Air-con in the BX soon, maybe climate control too.....

Perhaps I should fix the suspension first!!!

Stunning work fella!

Cheers

I was surprised, because 16v is imaginary TOP of BX, so every 16v in CZ (at most they came from DE) has rear el. windows. French 16s is like social :?

I had 1.6 TOP and I have just front el. windows and one mirror, but I thing that all GT and GTi have all windows in el. And TD ( I know a few TD,and everyone is in el.)

I think it's safe to assume that neither of my cars will ever be in perfect shape Darja!!

Why do you want to put bigger brakes on the car mate?
The 16v setup is very good standard.
Think you'd struggle to use Xanty brake calipers..

hmmm, for the future they'll not strong enought , they're good now (all bx brakes are great), but more HP, needs better brakes...
And (if I forget the practical reason), it looks better (bigger brakes) at 15"
I just ask, if someone has experience... :-)

I have one question: why is everyone crazy about 16v? What's special on it?

I think you'd need some epic HP increase and indeed top speed increase to require bigger brakes but....
I use EBC racing pads, never scared myself yet!

Duno why everyone else loves valvers so much but I like them because I think the bodykit looks awesome, the noise they make is awesome, and they can embarress a lot of punks in modern "go fast" very expensive cars.

Theres something very addictive about them.
