BX TZD (1.7TD) for sale

Post by jolly_green_giant »

J reg 184K miles, new trailing arm bearings (20K ago), new clutch, timing belt, water pump (8K ago), new windscreen and a new bottom ball joint on passenger side. Has a towing hitch. Engine uses very little oil and as far as I can tell is in very good condition for it's age. Taxed and MOTd till April 2007.

Metallic dark green, no obvious rust and vertually none else where! Interior in very good condition!

The only slight problem is air getting into the diesel system It's a connection under the engine but I don't have the time to fix it. It runs fine but if it's left overnight you need to start it twice.

I'm looking for £300 ONO and I'll post pictures when I have my camera back (after 8/10)

edit:- Sorry forgot to mention, based in Hinckley (midlands)

Is it a Hurricane by chance?

I don't think it is a hurricane, sorry. I will take some photos at the weekend. It's in fair condition and is dark metallic green.

Right well it's still sitting there not doing anything. It's been sat there since september so needs a good run to blow out any cobwebs. As I said I would look at any offer.

Is anyone close enough to take a look? Its a bit far for me for a day out :).

I'm interested, am definitely after a TD to keep the mileage off the GTi, but this is higher mileage than I was looking for. Other than that though it sounds perfect.

How are the electrics and suspension? Do the heater and blower work ok?

Thanks,

Matt.

electrics, suspension are fine the rear actuator is a little sticky but then again it has been sitting for a while. The heater works fine however the blower doesn't seem to work (just found that out :S), I had this problem when I first got it and I think it's a loose wire next to the blower.

Try hitting the blower motor with a rubber mallet while the ignition's on (and speed selector set appropriately of course).

It worked for me!
