Hi. I will ask him about the car complete. I must emphasise its the worse condition BX I have ever seen, but like I said, anything is saveable, and it didnt look rusty, but it was more green with moss than white so hard to tell. Ill ask him if I can pop round Saturday when its light as when I saw it all before it was getting dark. Ill ask him about the bumper. BTW, he did say he was having trouble with his email servers and was concerned as to whether I had got a reply from him. I did, but others may not have done. He is a very genuine and fair guy.

I have all the bits for the car although i'm a little concerned that the engine is headless with no bonnet on!!!
I have everything necessary to put any BX back on the road at present so the only bugger is colecting it from Malvern.
thanks for your help

Yes well, there is a red bonnet positioned over it, but not positioned very well, and with the time its been sat, your best bet would be an engine from one of the other cars he has, or your own. Being an early D, its got the slightly less powerful version of the N/A XUD (without the smart plastic air distribution box on top), so you woulw want one of those for originality. I think at least one of the other ones he has have got that engine. Do you want me to give him a call and find out how much he wants? Alternatively I could PM you his number.

I managed to see these cars at 4.30 today so had some more light.
Simon. The blue bumpers look OK ish, missing black trim etc, very dirty and the standard MK2 shape etc. I forgot to ask him the price but I have permission to PM people his number.
Right, the MK1 estate. The body is better than I thought, and once the moss is gone MIGHT polish up very nicely. There are no dents visable. The windscreen surround is good, as are the door hinges location. There is a corner rusting off the bottom of the drivers door, and a hole in the sill towards the front top of the drivers sill, where the one bit of metal joins anoither. Should be an easy weld, but where there is rust, there is more. Not bad fora derelict MK1. The tax disk was 1997, so my initial guess of 9 years wasnt far off. Its actually bluey grey, possibly metalic, not white as I initially thought, and seeing it in the light made it look more and more like a car you could reserect. The dash is going brown in places , but he says he has bits of dash, ignition locks etc scattered all over the place.
He came up with a ballpark figure of 100 pounds, and although that might seem steep, you would have to pay someone three times that to clear a way for it to come out of his garden. Ideally, he would sell all the other BX's first. Incidentally, the white TGD estate in the Ebay pic is very solid, no dents or scratches etc, and it starts and runs well apparently.
PHOTOS coming before 10 PM (trying to find the lead that goes from my camrera to the PC)

Well i've got all the bits or know where to get the more tricky items like the lego like switches on the dash which appear to be missing. Like someone said before, as restoration projects go BX's are'nt quite as difficult as other cars..and this car is worth saving it's even in my favourite colour..
However the biggest draw back is the distance but hopefully we can overcome that..

The guy emailed me saying that he wanted £150 for it. I think thats a bit too much for me. If the car wasn't where it is I probably would have still gone for it but I for now i'll leave it. He says a guy from North Wales was also interested, I think I might know who it is...Anyway i'll leave it for now he may come down on the price later in the year
