For the benefit of anyone else who doesn't know, Microsoft put out a security fix for an issue with IE7 and Vista last week that pretty much crippled IE7, well done microsoft, i spent much of the week trying to track down the problem and had to revert to Firefox as IE7 was doing things like timing out on me!

Anywho, sunday mornign Microsoft released a patch to fix the patch, so if connection was violently slow (and i mean in the realms of over a minute to load a page on cable broad band) and is now magically faster accross the board, then stop using IE7 :D

All I would like to know, in simple terms because I am simple and slower than a slow thing how do you get rid of IE7 with out completely f***ing up everything else. I know from past experiance I am more than good at wiping things out very successfully.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Geoffrey. To remove IE7. Hit start, go to settings, go to control panel (in classic view), click add/remove programs icon, and find IE7 in there. Once removed, you will have IE6 again, which wont show in the Add/remove programs as its part of Windows. Then, download Firefox and you'll never have to worry again :)

IE7, the spawn of satan himself, clearly designed by the same people that designed the Xantia!
