Top weekend! :D :D :D Thanks to Chris and everyone else for doing what they did. And top marks to Doc et all for getting on with fixing Tim's tubes while the show and thunderstorm just carried on all around them.

Great to see another 2 Mk1 GTs - 3 in the same place! Must be about 10% of what's left in the country. And that GS Birotor - which later passed us on the A1(M) at ... ahem ... the sort of speed it was designed for!

More photos:

I counted 54 BXs parked up at this stage with several more elsewhere on site:

The end ... and that water wasn't just on the outside of the car...

Well, I had an absolutley bloody fantastic weekend!
Myself, birthday boy Vanny, Stewart(oily) and my mate John showed the young pups how to drink like men! (till 0350 on Sunday morning! (HARDCORE!!)), we even outlasted Terry, although he gave it his all!!(great to meet you mate, even if you cant remember it now!!)

Fixing Tim's car should have taken 30 minutes, but me and Vanny got the giggles and it took about 2 hours! Although the running commentary Vanny was giving about the whereabouts of nigel Wild was bloody GOLD! We should have recorded it!!
Tim was lucky really, could you pick a better place to breakdown in a BX? Being surrounded by more BX's and owners than you'll probably EVER see again!

Had a fantastic time and was sorry to leave.

Great to meet everyone I met!

Happy Birthday Vanny!

Roll on Stratford!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Only disappointing thing I guess looking at the CCC webiste and pictures taken of previous shows is that the BX hardly gets mentioned or photographed. I still think theres some snobbery towards the newer Citroens. Never mind though we outnumbered them :D

So whens BX challenge 2 the sequel then? 8)

i wouldent touch a newer citroen with a bargepole especialy the c5. Shame i couldent make it in the valver this year but it needs around £400 spending on it and with a leaking injector it wasnt woth the risk driving a 1200 mile round trip

I managed to geekily get around 100 pictures, so I'll try and get most of them up soon.

Had a brilliant weekend though! Surely the best event I've been to and can't wait for Stratford. Camping was a right giggle too and it was great to be in the company of so many decent people. Like Doc, I was sorry to call it a day to be honest!

The valver, the mk1 RS and the GT all made the 300 mile round trip without a single glitch too, which made it even better. The RS even averaged 43mpg! I'm still running it on the £30 I put in last Thursday. The GT pulled 34mpg I believe and the valver is around the same sort of mark....if Nat wasn't driving it it'd probably be alot lower
