Stuart Hedges (thanks for forgetting my wheels, i've got nowhere to put them  )

Fantastic effort from Doc and Vanny for fixing Tim's BX too! Well done men!

I must admit i've got a real hankering for an immaculate mk1 BX. Anyone got one?
Im afraid mine is going to Leyroy (BCXM) in a few weeks, and is far from immaculate with its bonnet cracks and oil leak. I say afraid, im just glad someone has actually said they are having it as it will be one less thing for me to worry about and I'm sure he will look after it..

Good grief. I really need to get mine sorted out. 22 mpg

I'm going to start out by taking the carb apart and cleaning it.

Oh, and replacing the leaky fuel line to it. That'll probably help.

Yeah Stuart!
That petrol smell is a sure sign that something is amiss! We wouldn't like to see you go up in a fireball, mate! :D (The car's too nice to get burnt out! )

 Bloody hell Stu... get thee down to your motorfactor pronto! I discovered the C-matic GSA had a leaky carb inlet hose because it was all perished, so bought and fitted a replacement straight away :!:

Mark.

P.S. I managed 280 miles on my £25-worth of Shell V-power @ 107p/l that I put in the car on Friday, and the low level light wasn't even flickering 8) Pretty good going, considering I did have a few spurts up to 90ish to distance myself from dawdling traffic on the A1(M)...

Don't worry guys, I will get it sorted pronto! I haven't had time to get to the motor shop yet but I will on Saturday morning - promise. And I'm not planning on driving anywhere before then.

Some fantastic pics in this thread, thanks all who've posted!

Stu...do I remember you taking a "proud owner" pic of me 'n Monica, similar to the one I posted of you? Did you take digipics, or was it real film?

My 16 auto was exactly the same, if not worse. I'm pretty sure its the auto box that does it, although the leaking fuel won't help

PM me your email address if you want the original large-size version!

I've put all my pics up (slightly shrunk for web viewing) here.

Monica is a beauty - all you've claimed - and it was a pleasure to meet you too.

Couldn't resist some wannabe arty pics in the awesome sunset too:

Spot the difference

The weekend was really made by the sheer number of brilliant people who were also there. These included Vanny:

Image

And Simonbx17.....pleasure to meet such a friendly bloke:

Image

Funniest part of the weekend was a repair taking place on Tim's car in the corner of the arena......

Image

.....and then the repair running late, with the organisers nervously starting the show around them!!!!

Image

As I said already.....best CCC weekend so far by miles, possibly due to so many great people from this club turning up. No excuses not to make the next ones....its the people who make them!

Cheers

Just got back from outer space. What a bloody great weekend - I can only echo everyones words and thoughts about the pleasure it was to meet everyone. What a great bunch! My wife enjoyed it too as did our dog Pelops who did the minesweep of all the BBQs on Saturday night. Was sorry to have to leave early but the great feeling remains.
Glad that plenty of photos were taken cos I was a bit slack.

Thanks all for such a good session in BX heaven
