I'd been trying to prise this car out of Chris Salter's hands for months when finally it just dropped into my lap. Not literally, obviously.

Great. I really like that dashboard with drum speedo, a great 80s design 8)
former BX 16 TGS Meteor Auto owner. No space or time to do own repairs. My BX is now owned by another member of this forum.

ha ha :D cant sell the rst as its a minter so i want to hang on to it. Its only had 2 previous owners from new which both i know. plus id miss the sound of the dumpvalve :roll: .

That's soon overcome Rob. All you need is one of though stupid Barryboy's type accessories from eBay that make a dump valve sound. They sound so wonderful and authentic on old Novas, Saxos and Corsa that everyone would think your Mk1 BX was a 24V turbo. Or perhaps not. :D

Agreed on both counts....My '84 16RS in "impala" beige was definately much beiger! Magnificent car though (Auto too....My Rover has made me very lazy!), I'm very jealous! :wink:

Asides some whiplash thankfully not, but its very doubtful snoopy will see the road again :cry:

Indeed. Resident Engineer Rutherford looked the car over and found bends and twists in the shell pretty much all the way to the front of the car.

My whiplash is much improved, mainly down to my neighbour's hot tub, lots of massage, and a weekend away on a canal boat but my girlfriend is still in a lot of pain. She's just been signed off work for another two weeks.
