Not sure if this is a suitable engine for the BX?

It looks as if it is a late 1769cc engine, exactly as you would expect to find in a C15D van.
Its recognisable as a late model due to the different timing covers fitted.
The following leads me to conclude its for a C15D van: no intercooler fitted, no spacers under the headbolts (as later turbo diesel versions used longer bolts).
I agree that the +0.8 indicates a reconditioned engine as this is the first oversize for a rebore on these engines.
Ideal if you have a 1769 N/A BX diesel, cheaper than rebuilding your own engine.

I see your point on the bits on the engine (and the bits not on it) Given that it has later covers, it must be 1994(ish) or later, as I think that's when they changed.
So definitely a C15 engine.
