Brilliant :D

That went over really smoothly.

I used a backup from the old server timed at 11:15 UK time for the upload to the new database so any posts made between then and 12:00 may have got lost.

I will be pulling last backups of both the FCF and BXC databases from the now defunct database so if anyone has lost a very critical post, let me know and I'll retrieve it.

Keep me appraised of how the new database server is running please. It is hosting both the FCF and yourselves.

I'll be lurking on here from now on regularly, keeping an eye on it..

And me.

It's so unusual in this world for anyone to do something for nothing.

That alone shows you as one of the best.

Thanks

FYI, I am getting this error a lot now:
Error!

You tried to access the address http://bxclub.co.uk/forum/posting.php?mode=reply&t=8246, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other applications that rely on the same connection are working.Error!
The server requested a login authentication method that is not supported.
It happens most of the time and comes up instantly. Sometimes browsing the forum works, but 4 out of 5 times I get this error. This didn't happen about 1 hour ago when I last checked.

edit: uhm... back to normal now...
