Not necessarily Way2go. The silver 'long nose' bonnet he has (1st pic) won't be a problem (other that being not original) with cooling: mine has the same. There's be no urgency to changing it IMHO. (and you could always sell the darker grey one to me - it's the right colour already! as I would actually quite like originality
)

I should have said 'one'
I tend to agree, about GTi's. there's a slight difference in 'value' and importantly recent investment (!) but I would consider swapping my 16v for a nice 8v auto with air conditioning. Hang on I had a nice one - once. If I'd spent the money on that rather than fanny about with Toyotas and stuff I would have been better off...
The 16v encourages one to drive a little more 'agressively' I think.

(I did have reservations on it's performance once but since getting the injectors cleaned/serviced it made it go like the proverbial sh*t off a shovel
