My 16v

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi

Rather than clog up my blog (a acquired taste!) with pics, I thought I'd start putting pics of my BX up here (as is the tradition).

To start, here are pics I took shortly after I got it a few weeks ago, and before I spent hundreds on it :D

The car now sports a sunroof deflector and a Scorpion/Cituning SS exhaust back box with 76mm tail pipe. It also has new tyres. Most of the expense was on things you can't see, like rear arm bearings, spheres, pipes, radiator, etc. etc.

When the weather improves I'll find a nice spot to do some more shots - and get some interior ones done too.

EDIT: And I've also since put on the C Pillar badges 8)

Yep. I must admit I'm a little unsure about them. But I think I'll stick with them for now.

Lovely, really nice that is, hopefully mine will look that shiny one day. Love the side repeaters as well, its a nice subtle touch that cleans up the side profile nicely :D

edit: who's is the C6 and the Bentley?

Cars like that abound on the Footballer's wives-like estate that is Beaulieu Park - As I mentioned elsewhere, the house I was parked opposite used to belong to an East Enders actress...

It's all fluff though - it's a horrid new build with lots of ostentatious displays of wealth. The cars (noticably Range Rovers, Porsche Cayennes, Bentleys etc) being the most tasteless of all.

I took the BX there because there's no one around usually!

That looks very tidy... and the side repeaters finish it off nicely, although I always liked the smoked ones, which for some strange reason you can't buy any more.

Hope you are enjoying it.

Matt

That is one very good-looking BX, Phil!!

If you want to park it next to my Monica at Huntingdon again this year, I reckon it would be OK!

That looks great Phil and glad that it's now in the gallery. Look forward to seeing it shining at The National!

It actually looks most handsome and neat, nice one. I am embarrassed
If you want to make yours look concours Jon just park it next to mine!
Compared to Phil's it's the lowest form of 16v life : bleached out, weathered paint and general rat look!

Yes, I thought that: I remember seeing a set once - should've bought 'em!

Oh, and thanks Dave! Hope you're feeling better and well on the road.... in a BX of course!
