Despite my doubts it was the o/s/f wheel sensor that turned out to be faulty. Fitted another one today along with another anti-rollbar link, tightened up the subframe bolts and been out for a short drive in it, everything now seems OK.
Strange though, how when I tested the wheel sensors everything tested ok
so that just leaves the rear wiper problem. Maybe I should keep it now
not likely. Lets get back to XM motoring
Now 89 gapers

They think it's all over, it is now!

Simple way to test if its working or not if your a prospective purchaser, is to take it for a spin & then stamp on the brakes hard, anyone who doesnt try that is just plain daft in my book.
Like the chap who bought our Clio, didnt even check to see if it worked or not, i did suggest it, but he said he believed me.
Well done for sorting it Ken, i would deffo update your advert to confirm that its been sorted as per Mat's advice, that should hopefully sort out the bidding, next job is the rear wash wiper

They are pesky buggers. Mine always tests fine but it was creamed.ken newbold wrote:Despite my doubts it was the o/s/f wheel sensor that turned out to be faulty.

I could drive to Liverpool and back and it would be fine, or I could drive 5 minutes to the shops (yes I AM that lazy) and the light would come on....
I really dont know why it's always the O/S/F sensor, but 999times out of a thousand it is... same with Xantia's aswell...
Still, plenty of gapers, so hopefully it'll get a good price.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Just looked and the cars got 765 views. Not bad for a model thats been trashed by Clarkson, out of production for fifteen years, and not highly regarded by the motor industry!
On the other side, its the model that saved Citroen - for a little while anyway - sold two million I believe, and has an intensely loyal following. I hear there's even a forum dedicated to it!!!
