Huntingdon, July the 11th to the 13th I do believe.
Having your car there would be rather a bonus for the BX gathering I reckon!
Ok, so lets get some important facts sorted:
1: do you drink ale
2: do you have a beard
3: do you drink ale
4: er, thats it!

Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!
Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Huntingdon eh? just down the road from where I used to live. I'll make that a maybe I think
Have had a good mess around with brakes/suspension/steering and can't see any further leaks, have a slight one from the middle of the car on the passenger side but not major when the brakes are applied. Going to keep it under close watch and if it gets uber will take it in to a local specialist.
Would it be worth changing the LHM fluid and cleaning the filters?

- yea, the filters can get grubby as for the fluid change - seems to be doing that itself!Would it be worth changing the LHM fluid and cleaning the filters?
Out of interest how long would you say the height does stay up after switching off?

Meh.
More concerning is the leak you mentioned. Was it an actual puddle, or just an area that had been sprayed with a thin coating of LHM? If it's a fine spray of fluid, then I would suspect an HP pipe. If it's a drip and consequential puddle, then one of the LP pipes.
Neither is that serious.
this might be a signature

Welcome, and nice car
What you've gotta be careful with when chasing the leak, is that it isn't leaking somewhere else, then dribbling along a part such as the subframe before leaking from the lowest point of that part.
e.g You could have a leak on a pipe around the Octopus on the O/S of the car, but if your car is parked on a driveway with a slight left camber, the fluid will leak on the N/S of the car. A common thing in my experience.
Get it up on drive-up ramps and feel around the top of the subframe. My guess is that it's probably caked in oil, although I wouldn't rule out a gearbox oil seal either, probably N/S.

Schnakey, welcome. I too am a bit of a new boy round here, more at home on the CX forum but enough of that.
I too have a 4X4, a slightly duller estate but very solid none the less. I am just in the process of getting her MoTed and back on the road after time sat in someones garden under a large fir tree!
I am only just up the road from you in Calne, Wiltshire.
Send me a PM and we could arrange a meet
Rob

Neither of you are that far from me either, so if either or both of you fancy a pint (ale obviousley, non of that lager shite) sometime then I'm always up for drinking!
