Excellent choices Phil and Way2go :D It has my vote fair and square. They are the two biggest things in our lives and all of us have been involved in one or the other and more often than not, sadly, both.

An excelent idea as although i said about GOSH.
I too along with my wife have lost members of both our families to cancer.
So i am putting my support for these two great and deserving charities to be our joint causes for this fatastic adventure.

LETS DO IT. ^^bx>AGON CHALLENGE

Great. We should be able to raise some worthwhile amounts of cash - as well as have a bit of a unique adventure...

I will stop making posts about this in my blog (please read the last few though!) and create a new thread in Events. I will endeavour to keep everyone updated. The thing with something like this it quickly creates its own momentum (and workload!). Let's do it (as Kermit says!).

Just a thought :? :
BXathon as a name is good but 'challenge' maybe a problem as denoting a rally (as in challenge cup) . For insurance purposes I take it, we need to divorce it from any impression of actual rallying. Even if challenge is described as challenging to the BX that likely also to be negative in insurance arrangements.

Perhaps 'BXathon Endeavour' as alternative?

Or, is rallying insurance for the event being considered anyway and considered an unavoidable and necessary expense?

Just typical really isn't it?! You can't do anything, good or bad these days without some little law-loving jobsworth oik piping up and spoiling it! Not way2go obviously, I meant the people he's suggesting we get around!

Personally, I don't know why it's being limited to a certain charity, or charities? Can participants not decide who they want to donate to themselves? Surely it doesn't matter how many different charities are named? It's not like you're declaring you're all together either, for those doofy insurance and legal reasons.

Thing is, Kitch, I think it will matter what it's called and how it's pitched...

Let's continue this on http://www.bxclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9134
to keep this discussion in one place. OK? :)
