Was one of those times when you came up to North Wales and the rain did the job for you?

White BX's rock. My first BX (an RD Turbo) was white and my both my GTi 4x4 and Phase 1 16 valve are both white. They look really good when they're dirty too!

I asked the seller about the rear bumper he said it has been damaged and badly repaired at some point in it's life, and a spare one would sort it out.

Pretty good. There'll be one at Edwards. (See list of specialists http://bxclub.co.uk/specialists no.19). I saw a couple there I'm sure last time I was there less than a week ago.

having got my wife more or less accustomed to the idea that I am looking for another BX, it's 10 year since the last, this one that is reasonably local goes off sale 3 days before close - and at £240 when I looked in the moring. I'll just have to settle down and wait again.

valvers seem more available that turbo Ds; what mpg can you realistically expect in daily use from valvers? and we have some pretty good hills down here in Devon

cavmad wrote:Nice that. Potential bargain too with full MOT, though I'd want an HPi done (even if it is an old car) as I'd be concerned as to why he's hidden the number plates.
I've noticed that...whats with that? To prevent number plate theft?!! Perhaps I should drive around with mine covered up, so that t'public don't write it down and steal my idenditity

I had my plates nicked a while ago on the side of the road....literally. They ripped em off! If someone wants your details, they'll get em! Tape won't stop them.

Anyway, thieves are illiterate numbskull cocks. They wouldn't think about nicking plates off a car identical to theirs to arouse less suspicision. Thats why they pulled them off a red BX valver....how many of those do you see??
And if by chance they did have an ounce of common, most thieves won't be operating in white BX's

(thats been building up for at least two years, but I always forget to rant about it!)

Oooopss B.O.T:

Looks very tidy. Not my cuppa its got to be said, I'm probably least enthusiastic fan of TZD Turbos on the forum, but that certainly could be a shrinkwrap car for somebody if its as good as it seems.

Grecian, i havent owned a valver, but i suspect 20-30+mpg depending upon how it gets driven, some members have gotten good mileage, but again its down to driving style.

Like you say Kitch semes pointless hiding the plates. Like private listings on eBay (another pet hate of mine) there is a reason behind it, usually to cover something dodgy up.
