That does look good and with that low mileage should get a few quid. That German Granny BX, almost same age and mileage has gone over €1000 now, but perhaps the Uk punter is less enthusiastic. I would have it , doesn't look as though it's been too 'work-horsed' either!

1.6 = higher tax bracket in UK

Automatic = percieved awful economy

So probably wont go for that much.

Manual actually. Shame it isn't a TXi.

Shouldn't be too bad on economy though. Depends how much stop-start short trips you do in something like that. On a long haul it'd be bearable. (as it would even in auto guise).

I get a easy 40mpg out of my 16TRS on a run and at 90p a litre too so hardly an expensive car to run.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Indeedy, only the 14 petrol is the cheaper, but when you work it out that £5.41 a month difference, having power steering is worth a fiver a month to me as is the extra bit of ooomph.

It's cos I've never had a 14! Do'oh.

BUT it is still potentially a practical BX estate to consider.

(Spot the BXagon plug coming...)

It would be OK to use on the BXagon Challenge!

PS Even if it doesn't actually have a 'Driver's Airbag'! :D

Its just that its got all the wrong things going for it for a cheap UK car.

Petrol - check
Greater than 1500cc donkey - check
Old Citroen with funny suspension - Ding-a-ling-a-ling-stop-the-clock

I feel that only true Citronuts will place any real value on it.

I really like that and it must be pretty rare now I reckon. I also like that car in the background, some kind of Singer Vogue or something like that?

Shame the BX estate is on a private listing, must have something to hide.

Actually wouldn't this be ideal for the BXathon? Think of the money you could save by dossing in the back of it and as it has a full MOT and all the pipework sorted it should be a reliable runner. Anyone?

It is a very good candidate IMHO, Billy.

I'm trying to think of someone who might want to buy it just to take part in the event... It's close to France as it is!

It'd be worth buying it (assuming price isn't silly), taking it on the run and then keeping it upon return.
