I fell over when I saw the price he wanted, me thinks that will stay a while.

Didn't Mickey's old one sell for that much when Phil had sold it? There must be some worth close to that now surely?

It's all around the £1,400 mark. I don't know of a 16v that's made £2k in recent times... but there's no denying they are seriously undervalued.

16v's appear regularly on French Ebay with hopeful prices in the region of €3000. Whether they're chancers or anyone actually buys I've no idea.

I know of one that was sold here by a Citroen specialist who buys low mileage/ service history XMs from Switzerland and he came across a fully loaded immaculate 16v ph2 which he sold to a buyer who came 1000kms to collect for close on €4k

The BX 16v is a bit of a cult car in France I believe... and definitely quite rare now. I remember when we sold our Black P2, there was a serious buyer located in France who was going to come and collect it from the port, and drive it home. He just didn't bid high enough.

It doesn't surprise me is really nice ones go for good money over there.

Think the 16v PH1 and PH2 will go up after this crunch thingy...guy at LHR today asked me if i wanted to sell mine and he would part with 1500.00 (works for Air France Cargo so he can ship it back to France even tough is RHD) would offer me £2k straight up no B/S !!!!

said no way Mr Chidlow whom i still have not met has 1st refusal as is his old 16V values will go up as SMs have rocketed inlast 3 years ph2 looks very "now" as a modern classic.....

Still awaiting pics, Mr. Ascot :D

I tend to agree about prices of sorted valvers.

I was thinking, it's a shame the 16v doesn't have more of a sporting (rallying) pedegree, as Im sure that would help.

But any family saloon that has that performance and even at the tender age of 17 still 'rings the bell' for second-hand Fiesta mony has to be worth considering!

£1500 or £2000? Either way that's a very tempting offer it must be said.

In this current economic climate, thats a fantastic offer, i doubt many will get anywhere near the 1k mark, but if its a good one your probably best keeping it. The bx will never be worth good money, as its just too damn ugly
