Hi Patrick,

Its going on the cream BX GT as I think it would it would look ratther out of place on a Mk2, the fixings are a doddle as they are self adhesive and just stick on to the screen itself, then the louvre just clips on! :D

Bear in mind if the fittings are old, as they are bound to be, they won't necessarily stick as well as was intended. (Probably teaching you to suck eggs, but make sure yu use white spirit on the window surface first).

And at the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious: If they aren't sticky enough put a spot of superglue (because you can always remove it with superglue remover obviously  ) or for a more permament fix, use a rear view mirror adhesive - the one that comes with the mesh.

Can't wait to see the results.

Methylated spirits is better than White Spirits as W/S still leaves an oilyish residue. Cellulose thinners is better again than meths - both available from Halfords if your budget will stretch that far...........

Yes, sounds easy enough to fit and as everyone else says make sure you clean the area.

Can't wait for the results... :D

That is fabulous! Will go much faster now too. The happy ending of a lonely louvre on Ebay finding its rightful place on your GT Tim. Respect! 8)

Superb, Tim. Just right for that period feel.

If it doesn't go faster it'll certainly look like it is!

Not the best pic, and the louvre does need a better clean but im happy, look at that garage though, it has a pit, lots of eleccy sockets rafters and enough space to open all the doors.
