Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Oh my god ?
how could anybody do this to 3 bx's ? I know it's a memorial but couldn't they have done it to a "ford"?

I went down to collect my Uncle's old split-screen Morris Thousand after he died, and my cousin had taken it to use as a chicken coop. I certainly spat feathers!!

Probably not a 1000 then. It was still just a Minor when the screens were split. :)

Do you remember the Million model? I wonder who was the colour blind tosser who chose that yucky lilac colour for this celebratory edition? :?

Headlamps were moved from the radiator grille (lowlight) to the wings in '52 and the split screen was replaced with the single curved glass screen in '57. 1947 - 1950 models had the 918cc side valve engine designed in the 1930s - not sure when the OHV was introduced.

Originally designed by Issigonis as a direct competitor to the beetle, his design called for a flat 4 engine but this would be a new design and he was overridden and the engine from the original sit-up-and-beg Morris Minor was used because it was immediately available.

That's why there's lots of space in the engine bay - enough to get your legs either side of the engine while sitting on the radiator - perfect position for re-grinding the valves - good in Winter too because you're under the bonnet and you only get a little bit of snow on your back :-)
