Anti-flood capsule in carburettor - explanation needed, pls

Post by (CZ)enda »

BOL mentions "anti-flood capsule" in descriptions of the carburettors.
I must admit I am not sure about its function.
Could someone shed some light on this?
May it be that the term itself is "Haynesian"? Browsing the web for this term seems to result in various (sometimes well-hidden) references to Haynes manuals.
Thanks.

The official Citroen workshop manual may help!

Many of the other entries on this site are official citroen documents.

I think that anti-flood capsule is an alternative name for the pull-down diaphragm. It is probably a better choice of name than pull-down which is a bit old fashioned. There are probably other alternatives in use as well.
