Super cheap, super povo, super early BX in France

Post by Dollywobbler »

As spotted on Autoshite. Apparently has a ding in a chassis leg. £160 of your English pounds, though 200 Euros probably preferred. Looks lovely!

Top spot that man! If it's as good as it looks, not just a bargain but a great investment!

edit; just had a look at the link - jeez 160 quid! Anyone fancy it?

I apologise for describing it as super early. It's a 1984. Not ridiculously early but I liked the title!

I really like this one but that is very nice too. I do like the povo spec MK1's, just a shame there aren't any left in RHD form...

Indeed! Looks like if you're interested in a nice mk1 these days you'll need to factor into your budget the cost of a ferry ticket and 50 odd quid import duty. Still looks like an attractive option though. Now where's my French phrase book . . . . :D

Hmmn, Since it won't pass a Controle Technique I wonder jsut how bad that 'fold' in the chassis leg is, and how it got there... The CT is far, far less strict than an MoT and normally stuff will pass even if it's got bloody great holes in (as my Land rover did a few weks back - would have been laughed out of any MoT station in the UK, especially as one side of one rear shock mount was snapped off and the other had been 'repaired' with a bit of aluminium and two wood screws...).

Correct. No import duty. Would indeed be interesting to see exactly what the damage is on that leg. Perhaps the pictures were taken pre-accident!

Count yourselves lucky, I had to pay €720 vehicle registration tax to bring the BX in from the UK!
