CV joints

Post by Ricky5 »

I wish to thank fellow members for their help over the last few days.
But another question.
Are the BX's CV joints removed in the same manner as the BL mini's in other words a sharp smack with a copper mallet

Thanking you in advance
Rick

Well actually,

Most of them do, BUT some of the later K & L reg ones have a different CV joint on the end which has a different number of splines. The problem with these is, they don't come off  you have to remove the inner joint first and then slide the boot off from that end.

My suggestion if you come across one of these is BIN IT and fit a new or at least different shaft.
They think it's all over, it is now!
