For sale BX Lock set

Ignition barrel, 2 door locks and fuel cap, all on same key, with 2 keys.

£25 set + £3.50 postage

Afaik all mk2 diesel sets are the same so yes it should

Yes it will fit your car all mk2 bx's have the same locks.

Pretty sure they will, yes i still have the lock set.

Petrol and diesel ignition locks I think are different but the door/filler locks are the same on all models. Mk1 doesn't have a lock on the glovebox anyway.

Yes diesels have an extra wire on the ignition barrel for the heater plug circuit. Diesel ignitions can be used for petrol's but not visa versa.

@Defender: Really ? Isn't the extra circuit in the diesel car loom not in the ignition switch as there is no extra room for another cable except for the extra connector for the ABS circuit.
@Tim: I reckon the switches diesel/petrol are identical and interchangeable. Not sure about Mk1 and 2 being the same though as I have never owned a Mk 1.

Yes sorry I was treating it as the complete unit, barrel & switch. The barrels on there own should be interchangeable.

Im with 110 on that one sure MK1/2's are the same ign and door locks think wiring is same on both petrol or diesel.

i can do you just the door locks if needed, but will only give you one key as i will need the other key for the ignition barrel, £10 plus £2 post if ok.
