Gave up in the end and made my own.

My friend is a fabricator and has the folding machine I required

I was about to say "get you with your TBs" too. How does it run on those? Are you using Megajolt?

It goes great, especially since I totally rebuilt it with new liners etc. Thread is in members gallery here. ECU is an Emerald K3. Megajolt only does ignition, so you'd need to run carbs - but have set a few of these up recently too. Megasquirt would be the equivalent for ignition and fuel.

Ah yes, I had completely forgotten your thread! Sorry. And that was probably a stupid question about the ignition, I had just seen the missing dizzy cap and didn't think any further, as if you could use TBS with the standard ECU... duh...

I always meant to ask what you did regarding cams, having re-read your thread you said you were going for something with higher lift but there was no mention of it turning up - did you end up with the standard one in the end? At some point I think I'd like to make my red one go a bit faster (I'd like to get it back on the road in the first place, of course), and I'm thinking the top end is the place to start, but thought that more duration rather than more lift was the best option.

Would also be interested to know what pulleys you have on the cams. Although if you're not RRing it then it's all a bit academic

Haven't got a new set of cams yet, a new precision PT6466 for the MR2 has took precedence, and the arrival of a ZX16V to the fold!

Mark, can I ask a question purely out of curiosity? Why did you write WHY at the end of your first post?
