Hello everyone, well it seems cheap bxs arent cheap, £1000 doesn't buy you much nowadays,
The 16TRS in Magnetic Blue is rather scruffy but solid, albeit being shorter on one side as its had a accident on the rear..
I made a trip over to peterborough on a BX and Xantia parts hoard and got most of the parts I needed....the ruined drivers seat (car spent time in the south of France so got sun damaged), plus lots of clips and switches, an unbroken glovebox, parcel shelf, rear lamps for the Xantia etc.
The little Saxo is a great car, 1.5D SX 5 dr, one of the very first made, only having done 42000 miles, and one owner for 25 years...the glowplugs were shot and there was no cambelt changed recorded so they were first done, along with a very overdue service...replaced some broken parts, scuffed hubcaps etc!
The Xantia is now pretty much sorted, asides some paintwork....lots of little jobs, inc belts and fluids, new correct exhaust rear silencer and some trim parts all the way from Iran!
The BX has has its daft and rather unsafe suspension spacers removed but still wears its Ronal Alloys, of which I have warmed too, even if they are worth more than the car itself!
