BX Gt is now the same shape again, only £200 to fix, the gent who hit me agreed to pay for the repair and oddly enough, hes gone deaf, I let my insurance know, but didn't claim as I wouldn't let any old body shop work on it, plus my excess if £250, which I would have to pay until it was refunded.
Now do I go after him, the ambulance chasers have already been contacting me ....
Its decided against the small claims court, I just cant be bothered. I've contacted his insurance to raise a claim, but apparently as he hasn't reported it, and they are unable to get hold of him, there is nothing that can be done....that's the world we live in.
The BX TZi has gone, to a good home, and the GT is in storage until the Chevrons rally,
I turned the big 50 last month and had a wonderful cruise round the north of France and spain.....
Also the TF and Beetle has issues with the brakes....
Why not set an ambulance chaser on him, they might scare him with their additional costs. I know its only for £200 but if you want easy justice it might be a good idea.
The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.

I called Admiral, his insurance company this morning, and thank the lord, he has responded and they are refunding me my money! Took 40 mins on hold, and I did ask, if I had not called, would I have been refunded, they assured me it would have been eventually
So now Admiral have sent me a letter saying they want the £200 back as their client has now changed his mind and said I hit him, although he is not claiming from me, they can do one..
Will get the GT ready for the Chevrons on Sunday, and have decided to replace the blindy modern ish headunit for one more in period albeith with USB etc, not cheap, but as I do always listen to music its worth it

No wonder the world is in a mess when a simple car collision results in irresponsible dishonesty. I expect you will hang on to the £200 since it will be coming out of his pocket as a compulsory excess.
Admiral are not known to be a top 10 insurer for paying claims so you have done well to get this far Tim.

Indeed, I shall pretend I didn't received the letter
Another forced move of car storage after 6 years made for a couple of departures as the new place, albeit closer to home, was more expensive and smaller (that was the initial plan). The maestro needed plenty of work so that went at quite a financial loss, and I donated our much loved Rover 25, which belonged to my late mother, to the Great British Car Journey, to give me more space.
The week before the car barn move, the new landlord advised me that the one he had lined up for me, was not finished (or even started) but had one I could use, but would be more expensive, I had no choice to agree but negotiate on price. The new barn is huge, easy room for 16 cars, but access is poor due to it being on a busy ind estate and always covered in mud. We are working on alternative on site.....
